Participant rights

Every participant supported by MCCS has clear rights, consistent with the NDIS Code of Conduct and the National Disability Insurance Scheme Act. You have the right to:

  • Be treated with dignity, respect and without discrimination.
  • Receive safe, quality supports that meet your needs and goals.
  • Make choices and have control over the supports you receive.
  • Privacy and confidentiality of your personal information.
  • Access advocacy and give feedback or complaints without fear of consequence.
  • Be informed and give consent before supports are provided.

Participant responsibilities

  • Treat staff and other participants with respect.
  • Provide accurate information to help us deliver the right supports.
  • Give reasonable notice when changing or cancelling supports.
  • Work with us to keep your environment safe.

Privacy & confidentiality

MCCS is committed to protecting your privacy. We collect personal information only to deliver and coordinate your supports, store it securely, and never share it without your consent except where required by law or to protect safety. You may request access to the information we hold about you and ask for corrections at any time.
