Supported Independent Living funds the help you need day to day - personal care, medication, meals, getting out into the community and overnight support - while rent or board for the house is paid separately. Staffing is set to the ratios in each participant's plan, including sleepover and awake-night support where that is funded.
We match on compatibility before anything else. You will meet the current housemates and the staff team, visit the house, and stay overnight before any decision is made. MCCS is a registered NDIS provider under Modules 1 and 2A, which means our team is approved for high-intensity daily personal activities and specialist behaviour support, so complex and high-intensity needs are within scope.
Short-Term Accommodation - respite - covers stays of up to 14 days including support, meals and activities. Families near Para Hills use it for a planned break around school holidays or carer surgery, and for emergencies when a carer is unwell or a living arrangement falls through.
Where our Para Hills home has a room free we can host respite there, which is the best case for someone who may later want a permanent placement - they get to try the house before committing. Yes, and we encourage it. You are welcome to inspect the house, meet the housemates and the staff team, and arrange an overnight stay before committing to anything.
Ratios follow each participant's plan - we run 1:1, 1:2 and 1:3 arrangements as well as 2:1 where it is funded, plus sleepover and awake-night staffing. Ask us for the compatibility profile and we will set out the current staffing in the house.
